THE MARIGOLD STAFF
Our staff share the mission and values of Marigold Cottage. They are licensed, certified and trained in the Marigold Cottage standard of quality, compassionate care of each resident. We maintain a serene homestyle atmosphere and encourage residents, family and friends to consider Marigold Cottage as the resident's home away from home. To that end, Marigold Cottage welcomes each resident to have small inexpensive decor items/mementos from home/family in their personal areas.
MARIGOLD CARE
Medical Care
• Marigold Cottage has an attending physician, professional nurses and health providers. A resident's personal physician will be welcomed to provide services at Marigold Cottage per the family's arrangement in advance with the physician and Marigold Cottage management. Also, special adjunct services (PT, OT, MSW, etc.) can be accommodated.
• Individualize care plans are developed and followed as prescribed by the physician.
• The Registered Nurse dispenses all medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Care providers are licensed/certified professionals and Marigold trained to administer care/treatments as prescribed and within the scope of their license/certification and training.
• Residents (as appropriate) and family members are also encouraged to be involved.
Personal Care
• Marigold Cottage maintains a low resident-staff ratio to assure safety, comfort, and that each resident is well attended.
• Marigold Cottage is a 24-hour care facility.
• Care providers assist with daily bathing, grooming, dressing (ADL) as residents' specific need requires.
• Care providers assist with the care of residents personal living space, laundry, mobility.
• Onsite barber/beauty services available by appointment.
Nutritional Care
• Marigold Cottage offers nutritious meals and snacks with sensitivity to the special dietary requirements of each resident.
• Meals are served in our dining room in family or restaurant style, however, in room/bedside service is available as needed.
• Snacks and beverages are encouraged to always assure proper hydration and dietary supplement.

Activities include table - games/puzzles, container gardening, yoga/exercise, dance, spiritual services, lounge areas (indoor/outdoor), music (listening, singing, instruments, dance), library including magazines, newspapers, miscellaneous hard copy and audio books, Pet Therapy, miscellaneous entertainment by community groups (scouts, choirs, theater clubs, etc).
